Noyo Sea Kayak Tour

Noyo Sea Kayak Tour

Experience Fort Bragg California from the water

Journey via sea kayak from the quiet waters of the Noyo River Estuary through the historic Noyo Harbor and out into the wild Pacific Ocean.  Along the way, Liquid Fusion Kayaking’s naturalist guides will share with you the wildlife, nature, and history of the area and kayaking tips and tricks.

This 2.5 hour sea kayak journey begins and finishes at LFK Headquarters on the quiet waters of the Noyo River.  This is an ideal start for wildlife watching and for honing in your kayaking skills.  As we paddle through the estuary, we will check out the flora and fauna of Fort Bragg.  In the Noyo Harbor, you will see Fort Bragg’s fishing fleet and watch the fishermen and women of Noyo Harbor bring in the catch of the day.  Your guide will share with you tales from the sea and information on what is in season and tips for finding the best seafood in town.  When you kayak under the Noyo Bridge, you will begin to feel the pulse of the sea.  Once out through the channel and into the sea, you will experience the marine ecosystem and a unique perspective of Fort Bragg.  We will check out off shore rocks and learn about the coastal creatures that live in and on the sea.  When we paddle back into the Harbor, you will cruise along with harbor seals and sea lions and continue to learn and explore the wildlife, wonder, and waters of Fort Bragg.

We will be using touring sea kayaks.  Both single and double kayaks are available (double seats are limited - reserve early to guarantee a double).  No previous kayak experience is necessary and all equipment is provided.   Participants must be able to swim and must be 12 years of age or older.  No pets.  If ocean conditions are not conducive to this trip, the trip will be modified to include more of the Noyo River and Harbor areas. This trip is $100/person and available 8/4/2019, 9/15/2019, and 11/9/2019. Private/custom tours are also available.
